What a year! 2015 brought many wonderful new things to our lives. I started 2015 off pregnant with my second little angel, Corinne Baylee. My oldest daughter turned nine! (yesssss nine!) and soon after, in July, Corinne was born. Addison continued to make straight A’s. (she’s such a smart cookie!) She loves gymnastics and was a cheerleader for the third year in a row. Not only did my business see many new and exciting changes, but my husband started a business as well. We are so proud of him! He makes custom knives and bottle openers from salvaged and reclaimed metal. What an artist! ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/BVTKnives ) We took an amazing trip to Maine. I was in shutterbug heaven! Over the summer we welcomed a lot of visitors anxious to see our newest addition. It was so nice having everyone here with us. Later in the year, my second niece was born, baby Giuliana. We are so blessed to have all these sweet little girls in our family! Christmas was such a fun and special time and we all really enjoyed the time off to rest and relax together.
Stacey Taylor Photography + Design added a few new lenses to the collection as well as a brand spankin’ new Canon 5D Mark iii. For Christmas, I upgraded from my laptop to an iMac. I was also fortunate enough to gain quite a few new clients and meet some really amazing people. I met new vendors and look forward to working with them in the future. I continue to snap way too many photos of my kiddos… I can’t resist! These years go by so fast. I cherish every second of this time with them and I want it to last forever!
Hello 2016! This year, my plans are to overhaul the website. So, look for a new, fresh look this month. I cannot wait! I am also opening a print shop on Etsy. There, I will be selling some of my images as well as inspirational quotes, etc. They will be instant download. I can’t wait for it’s debut!
I am hoping to blog more. I am really excited about this. I have tons of great topics I want to cover this year, from making sessions easier for families to ways to keep your memories safe, photo print books and wall art. One of my own personal resolutions this year is to make memory books from all of the many photos I take. I have a bad habit of photo hoarding all of my digital images. They are all trapped on this computer for no one to see! I want to print more pictures, hang more canvases, and make more memory photo books. The kids love seeing how much they change year to year and so do we.
This year I would also like to book more weddings, and hire a second shooter to help with larger weddings. I would also like to offer more seasonal session specials and find some amazing new locations for clients.
Well, I could go on forever about what 2016 will entail, but I will stop here. I have big plans, big dreams for this new year. What are some of yours?
Thank you ALL for making 2015 a wonderful year. Let’s make 2016 even better!
